To-Do Tuesday #71

Happy New Year, friends!   I'm checking in today with my weekly to-do list and linking up with Roseanne and friends for the To-Do Tuesday linky party at Home Sewn By Us

Hope your 2021 is off to a good start!  I've been successful with January chores like taking down the Christmas tree, putting away decorations, and doing some needed housework.  Even the sewing room has been vacuumed and dusted!

Another item on my list from last week was to start a list of WiPs for this year so I can be organized for progress and finishes.   Angela at SoScrappy helped me out with that job by sharing a tracking sheet for Rainbow Scrap Challenge projects created by Stephanie.  Not all of my projects are rainbow quilts, but enough of them are that I thought this would be helpful!

So, on my list for the coming week:

My #1 and only goal:  Prep a quilt top and get it basted for quilting as well as start the quilting.   I actually have five quilt tops ready for quilting!   The one I decided to focus on first is the Rainbow Zigzag quilt.  I've had the batting and backing for awhile, just need to get on it!

Yesterday I cut the backing to size - it is a pretty light blue wide backing from Connecting Threads called Cobblestones.

If I make this #1 (and only!) on the list, then it will get done, right?!

  6. I think just having that one task, and one that you've been putting off, on the list is great. A little accountability often gives us just the push we need. You'll get this one done, I'm sure of it. :-)

  7. Hi Diann! Ooh, new block choices for the RSC 2021?!! One looks like a hashtag and the other just plain cuteness. Yippee, I'm glad quilting the zigzag quilt is up first out of the five to-be-done. That backing looks pretty, too. I can't wait to see this next week! HAHA! Thanks for linking up today. ~smile~ Roseanne

  11. Yeah right! I make lists all the time and I still don't do what I put on the list. LOL! But I think you will succeed.

  12. Sometimes that works and sometimes it doesn't. Hope you've already made great progress on this week's to do.
