Happy Thursday! I hope your week is going well. Sometimes I have to remind myself that there are always things to smile about!
Christmas lights make me smile! We got ours up the other day. I'll probably do the tree this weekend.
I definitely smiled when I found these at the grocery store the other day. They are yummy!
Fudge Brownie!
We've been enjoying these Banana Walnut muffins that I made the other day. I found the recipe on another blogger's post, Cathie's Craftworks. I don't bake a lot anymore, so it's been a treat to have something like this to go with breakfast!
Do you watch "Bull?" We didn't until recently, but found we really like this show! Season 5 just started a couple weeks ago, but through our CBS All Access streaming service, we got caught up on Seasons 1-4 earlier this fall. I like courtroom dramas, and this is one with a twist - Jason Bull runs a trial analysis firm, so he helps pick the jurors.
Plus it's Michael Weatherly, everyone's favorite Tony DiNozzo from NCIS!
And finally, there's nothing I like better than making a mess in my sewing room, playing with scraps! Especially when inspired by another blogger's post - this time it was Wendy from Pieceful Thoughts of My Quilting Life and her improv Christmas tree runner. I'm using various greens and a few leftover charm squares to make these trees - just one made so far.
Thanks for visiting on I Like Thursday! I'm joining in with LeeAnna and friends at Not Afraid of Color.
I like 'Bull' too, and began watching it in the beginning. It is a smartly written show, kinda rare these days. We've been watching a number of really good shows on Netflix too.
ReplyDeleteI hadn't watched Bull, I don't know why I think it was because I liked his character on NCIS so much that I thought I would have a hard time picturing him as someone else - enough time has gone my now that I will try it - love muffins and it reminded me I have some in the freezer
ReplyDeleteI have watched Bull a couple of times. I am not much of a TV watcher, but it was a neat show. I agree some days it is nice to sit, swill coffee, in your pajama pants all day. Oh those M & M's look yummy. Great likes as always. Your improv tree is sweet.
ReplyDeleteYour lights looks so pretty! Like you we will do the tree this weekend, although smaller house = where do we put it? I loved Wendy's improv table runner too, and I love those colors you've chosen!
ReplyDeleteI love your Sweatpants reminder. And we've watched Bull from the beginning - always look forward to it. Keep on keepin' on!
ReplyDeleteOh! You've already tried Wendy's trees? SEW jealous!! I have a client quilt to finish before I go off on a Holiday quilt tangent.
ReplyDeleteWow - I love those yellows and greens in the trees! We started watching Bull this year too with DVDs from Netflix. We are almost done with Season 4. We don't have CBS All Access, so we will have to wait a while for Season 5.
ReplyDeleteI am planning on some baking while here at our son’s! Muffins are a great idea, we do kind of staggered, grab and go breakfasts here. We are not going anywhere, but each on a different schedule. Our son works from home, so he “goes” to his office!
ReplyDeleteI want to try those trees too! Maybe next year! I’ll put it in my notebook!
Oh--yum on those muffins!!! I used to watch alot of the tv series on all three channels and Fox--but at the end of last year I become really 'upset' with most of them--way too much sex and the actors have way too many personnel problems--I want a bit of entertainment so not think about all the problems of the world--so I have narrowed down my watching list to only about 4 series and Bull is on that list--a couple haven't started back up yet--in the mean time--I watch alot of old old Westerns--I esp love any and all the Audie Murry ones!!!
ReplyDeleteluv, di
I like Bull too! I thought the new season opened up with a really weird episode but I'm happy to report that they are back on track with real court room drama. I'm happy that NCIS will be starting their new season this week!
ReplyDeleteI definitely have more of "those" days now that I can't get out in the garden for a few hours a day. You're going to have so many trees you'll feel like you live in a forest. I watched a couple of episodes of Bull when it first started, but didn't care for the character so I stopped. I'm down to only a few regular shows so I don't watch much TV at all.

Well, you had me at Michael Weatherly, and then I saw your trees -- I love them!! They are so much fun in those bright colors! Big grinning going on here :-D
ReplyDeleteHi Diann! I never heard of fudge brownie M&Ms. It sounds like I should be looking for them. I wonder if they are just seasonal? The banana muffins look delicious sans walnuts for me. YUM! Oh, I do enjoy Bull. We've watched him since he left NCIS and have this season DVR'd - we'll probably catch up over the holiday break. AHA - Wendy shared her squirrel project with you. I wondered if that squirrel would nibble on someone. It almost got me, too! They are so fun - nice and bright! ~smile~ Roseanne
ReplyDeleteLOVE the show "Bull", bought the dvd series of it, have it in the sewing room. I've seen them all but like to watch them when pressing fabrics or just listen to as cutting and sewing.
ReplyDeleteThose trees are fab! I love your fabric choices because they really pop! I haven't had the fudge brownie M & M's, we tend to go for the peanut. During the first part of the pandemic, we were both addicted to the peanut M & M's and couldn't find them anywhere; apparently they are popular with a lot of folks. Your outdoor lights look great! Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers! Stay safe dear Diann!
ReplyDeleteOoh - lots of good stuff this week. Who knew they could make so many different M&Ms? Those look good! We have not watched Bull... I may have to add that to our watch list. Love those scrappy trees!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great list - I may have to search for those M&M's!! and your chirtmas trees are so great!
ReplyDeleteLovely list, Diann!! I've made note of Bull...def. sounds like a show I would like so thanks for the mention. Your pretty outdoor lights, wonderful homemade banana and walnut muffins, and improv indoor trees in such pretty fabrics. Sounds like a squirrel worth chasing for sure.
