Last week's list included...
Finishing up my Red and White Hand-Pieced quilt, and I did!
I also wanted to get started working on an old UFO that I'm finishing for the Christmas Then and Now blog hop, coming up at the end of the month. Progress was made, and here's another sneak peak!
This week I plan to continue working on this Christmas-y UFO and get it closer to a finish. If I work on it a little each day, it'll get there!
I'd also like to get some blocks made for the July/August block drive for Covered in Love. One is made so far, and I'm planning on two more.
A couple of other projects are on my mind, so I'll mention them here just to get them written down!
- Get started on my July Color Challenge block - at least get the pieces cut for it!
- Finish up the dark blue HSTs for my Rainbow Scrap Challenge zigzag quilt. 12 are needed by the end of July.
Hope your week is getting off to a great start! See you over at Home Sewn by Us for To-Do Tuesday!
Still adore that red quilt and your new block is fantastic! Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteLove the Christmas cactus. Can you share the pattern?
ReplyDeleteChristmas cactus! Oh I love those, what a cute project.
ReplyDeleteI have the same goals as you in the RSC and Color Challenge, but I also still need to do June. Now that our daughter's visit is over I should be able to focus on those. Unless another squirrel comes along. (Can you see my eyes rolling?)
the red/white quilt looks so good with the red chair! I did a Christmas Cactus block some years ago on an applique quilt and love it - you will for yours too
ReplyDeleteI'm doing pretty well in getting my blog hop quilt done. Today, however, I'm chasing a squirrel. I love that red/white quilt all nestled on that red chair. Perfect!
ReplyDeleteA Christmas cactus guaranteed to be blooming for the holiday! Love it!
ReplyDeleteHi Diann! That old UFO Christmas cactus is so cool. I wish my real cactus would produce blooms like that! Great job on your red and white quilt - a fabulous finish. Thanks for the reminder about the blocks for CiL for July and August. I've gotta say I would be thrilled to receive that cute block in the mail for a quilt. Thanks for linking up this week. ~smile~ Roseanne
ReplyDeleteI like your Christmas cactus applique. It can go up on the wall in your studio during December. Thanks for the reminder about the star blocks do CiL. I need to pull some scraps and make of some kits in case it gets cool enough for me to sew. Have a good week.

Can’t wait to see the UFO finished. Good luck on your dark blue zigzags and CiL blocks too. I have 2 friendship stars done. I usually try to do eight, but I may only get 4 done. I like your sawtooth stars with the 4 patch in the middle.
