While staying home, I've had plenty of time to get things done from last week's list, such as...
Stitching up the first three blocks for the Book Club Hand-Pieced QAL:
I'm very happy with how these are turning out!
Finishing my turquoise HSTs for the zigzag project:
I also finished sewing together the orange row.
And I sewed the sunflowers to the sky section of Scrappy Sprouts! Yes, all three are sewn! Whoo hoo!
I love that little robin!
For the week ahead:
1. Make a set of sunglass and cosmetic cases for Carole's Safelight project.
2. Almost forgot about the March Color Challenge block - better get on that!
3. I have a Super Scrappy baby quilt top that is ready to be layered for quilting. I'd like to get that done this week, too.
The cute rainbow cats will be the backing for this quilt, and
it will be a donation for the Hands2Help quilt drive.
Linking up with Roseanne at Home Sewn by Us for To-Do Tuesday!
Thank you for helping with sewn cases for Safelight! I'm glad to be retired too, as I have no where I have to go the rest of this week. I'm planning lots of sewing time!
ReplyDeleteYou're doing great on your list. I really love that little robin too! Your zig-zags look great together.
ReplyDeleteI'm running out of wall space for my RSC blocks. I guess I'll have to store them, but I really like having them on the wall for inspiration. Told my husband yesterday I needed an extra room just for a space to sandwich quilts and put design boards. Don't think that is going to happen. ;)
love all the blocks!! I just haven't gotten myself organized well with all that is going on and still spend too much time on the news!! I need to quit and occupy myself better
ReplyDeleteGreat projects! Those red and white blocks are so appealing! I'm really enjoying your progress on them and the other projects. Can't wait to see the finished sunflower piece! Sending cyber hugs to you my friend! Stay safe!
ReplyDeleteWhat fun projects you come up with. I just realized I haven't done my March blocks, so maybe I'll work on that today. Please say thank you to your brother and nieces who are on the front lines, so to speak. I'm sure they are overworked and exhausted. I hope they stay healthy and well - and you both too!
ReplyDeleteHi Diann! Oh, I love the fabrics you chose for everything you shared this week. The hand sewing featuring reds is just gorgeous. I adore the zig-zags - the will make a fabulous quilt top eventually. Finally, the sunflower set just so, so the little robin is peeking out is darn cute. Good luck on this week's to-do list. I've been praying for all the healthcare workers to stay safe and healthy. Same for you, my friend. Thanks for linking up today. ~smile~ Roseanne
ReplyDeleteEverything is looking grand and I too love that sweet robin. I'm hoping to sew up a Safelight Case Set too. We'll see ...
ReplyDeleteLooks like you got some great stitching done! I love that robin too!!! Did it just happen to fit there or did you do it on purpose.
ReplyDeleteSo much activity and so many projects in your studio - as usual. Love the robin :-) and the cats are a hoot. Sunflowers are exactly what my eyes want and my soul craves today. I am seeing you have a thing for catty fabric.
ReplyDeleteHope you've got lots of check marks on this week's to do list.
