To-Do Tuesday #23

It's always so exciting when you can say you finished a big project from your to-do list, and this week I can say that!

I finished binding Tiny Tuesday Sunday night during the Super Bowl!  Here is a peek:

It just needs the label and a trip through the washer and dryer
and I'll be ready for a finished post!

In other crafty news, I also got the National Embroidery Month project from Crabapple Hill Studios traced, colored, and stitching started.   This is a daily project for the month.

The little X in the center of the second square is for a button (for B)
which I guess we'll add at the end when all the stitching is done.

I made one sunflower center and it is glue basted on, waiting for stitching.

Two more to go! :)

And I also made 4 (of 8 needed) tree blocks for my Rainbow Scrap Challenge monthly project.  This month's color is orange.

So, on this week's list:

1.  Keep up with the February stitch-along.  That shouldn't be too hard to do - it will be part of my evening slow-stitching time.

2.  Keep working on those sunflowers so I can move my next Rainbow Scrap Challenge WiP along!

3.  Prep my Scrappy Hearts project for quilting.  I have the blocks sewn together for a tablerunner, and have the backing and binding fabric.  Just need batting - which may end up being scraps sewn together!

It will be 36.5 x 18.5

4.  Make sure the house is ready so that I can host my Book Club group next Monday.  And finish reading the book!  We're reading Unsheltered by Barbara Kingsolver.  Really interesting so far!

  1. Hi Diann! Yay to a productive week - binding during the Super Bowl sounds divine to me. And your Crabapple stitching piece is really starting to take shape. I didn't realize that your cute hearts and 9-patch blocks were going to be a table runner. SO cute! I just love the combination. Thanks so much for linking up today! ~smile~ Roseanne

  7. Will you put a little penguin button in that center? Just wondering. I think I need to just sit and look at that little sunflower in all its bright loveliness! Yay for the finish on Tiny Tuesday, too. Glad you are keeping up with your heart project too. What fun things to work on. You and I need to chat about books - I have a few to share with you.
