After a week away from home, I have lots of things I want to get done in my sewing room - probably way more than I will actually get done - but here are some of the items on my list!
1. Finish the last stitches in my hand-pieced pumpkin project.
Just a little bit left to quilt around the outside edge.
2. Get Almost Amish layered and basted for quilting.
I have fabric for the backing, but may have to stitch together some batting scraps for this one. I definitely have lots of those!
3. Get caught up on my October Tiny Tuesday blocks. The Bullseye block is in progress here. I only need to make one more TT block to work for my layout idea.
4. Zooming out from the block itself, you get a hint that my cutting table (and the rest of my sewing room actually) needs some TLC. Sorting, straightening up, putting away of leftover fabric and scraps should be a priority for me this week!
Hope your week is getting off to a good start!

I love your cutting mat - that looks perfect for squaring up large blocks how do you like it? there have been times I though to order a mat to fit the larger part of the table that I use but I haven't done so
ReplyDeleteSnow I can't even think about it and here we are to drop to 28 for Halloween - we rarely have an October freeze and sometimes do not get our first freeze until well into November
Clean up is on my list this week too!!! But then so is sewing, which will just make more messes. LOL
ReplyDeleteI like your take on Amish style/colors in that Almost Amish Quilt. Lookin' good!
ReplyDeleteHi Diann! Oh no, snow. No! We're supposed to get some on Thursday. Waa. I'm not ready. Love your Amish quilt and cannot wait to see how you quilt it. That's always my sticking point. Thanks again for linking up! ~smile~ Roseanne
ReplyDeleteIf only my cutting table was as "messy" add yours!!! Sigh...
ReplyDeleteOMG -- I can't believe you have snow already! I love your almost Amish quilt and the bullseye block!
ReplyDeleteSo how many TT blocks are there in the QAL altogether, or is it ongoing so you just jump in whenever? At any rate, I can't wait to see your TT quilt! That's a pretty neat little mess there, my friend. I hope your snow has disappeared by now. I haven't looked at our forecast, but I heard things about snow here too. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteUgh, snow. It was 69 degrees here today, and we haven't had a hard freeze yet which is very unusual. But flurries are forecast for Sat morning, so I guess it's coming soon. I've still got to catch up some TT blocks I missed last March when we were still traveling. And I have to start all over on the split 16 patch because I cut the 2" squares down too much.

How nice that you could visit your mother in warmer climates. And now facing snow! I think your work table is looking pretty good, won't show you mine! Happy stitching!
ReplyDeleteYour Almost Amish quilt is so beautiful! Love the name too ;)) And pretty tiny block!
ReplyDeleteEek! snow! On the other hand snow does give me more time inside. Here's hoping you get all of your projects moved forward. You're cutting table looks fine to me. I can't even see my cutting mat after today's time in the studio. Luckily I have two big mats but, truth told -- I can't see either.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure Autumn lasted a week here, looks like you had the same issue. Hope you've been able to take a bit out of your to do list.
