Love this purple star!
I really like using these gardening gloves that I got at Lowe's for quilting gloves.
I think they came in a package of 5, so I keep two pair outside for actual gardening and three in a basket on my sewing table for when I'm quilting.
I found a new place to display mini quilts in my sewing room!
This is hanging on the side of the old entertainment center
that I turned into storage for scraps and projects.
We've been enjoying this show on Acorn TV in the evenings recently, "Hamish MacBeth." It's an older one, probably from the mid-1990s.
We love the Scottish scenery (and their accents!),
the quirky characters and story lines, and the adorable dog, too!
I've had a craving for this lemon yogurt lately. Makes breakfast taste like dessert!
Yum!
And I spied this little guy outside in our backyard the other day - just hangin' out!
Happy Thursday! Hope you're having a great week!

you have been busy love how the quilt is going. I have never seen that old show but have seen that actor in other things through the years
ReplyDeleteI've read all the MacBeth novels but didn't know they had been made into videos. Great idea for the garden gloves! I use that style in the garden but will now look for a clean pair to keep in the sewing room.
ReplyDeleteBeothuk Stars is coming along beautifully. I've discovered yogurt makes a very nice dessert substitute when you are trying to watch the calories. I've never tried lemon, coffee/lattee are my two favorite flavors.
ReplyDeleteGood Morning. Diann! Love the mini quilt show. Your Beothuk quilting is looks good. Mine is still in the queue and got bumped down one by a new quilt top. The good news is that one will be hopefully loaded and ready to stitch later today. I love yogurt for dessert as much as I love it for breakfast. For dessert I add a decadent dollop of cream ... mmmmm, good! That bunny looks so cute lounging there in your grass. Thank you for sharing happy Thursday with me ... :) Pat
ReplyDeletethat purple star just twinkles, doesn't it? Love it! The bunny is so cute; we've had two bunnies and a woodchuck visiting us and our lawn's clover this week...thanks for sharing hugs, Julierose
ReplyDeleteWe have way to many of those little guys hanging out in our yard, I'll send them on their way to your house, LOL. I still love your patriotic flag hanging, glad you have a new space to enjoy your mini's.
ReplyDeleteBrilliant place to hang a quilt! I love that photo of the bunny! Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteYour Beothuk is so pretty! Looks like you're doing orange peel quilting. Will that be all over, or are you combining it with other motifs?
ReplyDeleteGreat place to hang a quilt. I have a plethora of those hanging out in different shapes and sizes....bunnies. Your quilt is going to be fabulous!
ReplyDeletewow that rabbit has good hips! We loved Hamish MacBeth!! Just hearing the accents was great, and good story lines. DH read the books too.
ReplyDeleteWow-didn't know that rabbit could stretch out like that. I love the colors in your quilt! I need to get those gloves at Lowes. Thanks so much. mary
ReplyDeleteHi Diann! I love the idea of hanging things off the side of your entertainment center repurposed into storage. Great idea! And so is the gardening gloves idea. I was just looking at the fingers of my quilting gloves and they get so dirty or stained I guess from the fabrics. Hmm, I'll have to give those a try. ~smile~ Roseanne
ReplyDeleteLove how your Beothuk is coming along! I need to think on mine, and maybe consider finishing it?! Great idea for a hanging space for your little minis! Gardening gloves -- who knew? That bunny is kinda cute, resting him/herself. I've been so tempted to subscribe to Acorn! We're always looking for a good series. Fun post, Diann!
ReplyDeleteHamish! We enjoyed that show (although I was a little freaked out that the actor that played Hamish was also Rumpelstiltskin on Once Upon a Time). Gardening gloves as quilting gloves...I may have to try that - I bet they'd work great!
ReplyDeleteLove your quilt! The minis look adorable where you hung them. I use quilting gloves when I pin my quilt to the leaders on my longarm. It's nice to know gardening gloves can work too! Acorn has so many interesting series. I wish I had it!
ReplyDeleteI used to use garden gloves for FMQ before I got some Machiners. They work very well. I've never seen a rabbit stretched out like that. Ours are mostly nibbling away or running for cover. Your Beothuk Star quilt is coming along. I like your color choices. I have a flag wall hanging somewhere that was given to my husband as a gift. I need to find it and add a sleeve to hang on the front door.

That rabbit is tooooo cute! :)
ReplyDeleteHi Diann, such lovely pieces on display. We also watched Hamish and enjoyed it. These shows are like comfort food in a way. I too love lemon actually lemon anything including a piece in my first glass of water for the day. And you have a bunny out your window too!
ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful likes! Your quilt is lovely! Great idea about those gardening gloves! What a peaceful yard you must have for that bunny to be so relaxed! Thank you for sharing!
