Lots of good choices for some string blocks!
In progress -
Stitched and trimmed!
I definitely need another Tiny Rails block in turquoise, so when I had leftover string bits, I trimmed them to 1.5 x 2.5 inches and got them moving along, too.
And the strings and little bits worked for my Tiny Tuesday block, too.
I really like the progress of these fun blocks!
Hope you made some progress this week, too - whatever you're working on!
Sharing at SoScrappy for ScrapHappy Saturday!
LOVE your blocks in this month's color!!!
ReplyDeleteYour TT quilt is going to be so sweet! Pretty blocks, they look so lovely all together
ReplyDeleteTurquoise is definitely my favorite color. Those Tiny Tuesday blocks really are cute!
ReplyDeleteI don't feel I made a whole lot of progress, because I kept getting interrupted by having to go to the grocery store or Lowe's or weeding the garden - lol!
Wonderful! Making string blocks and then cutting the leftovers to make more blocks. It looks like you're using every last scrap!
ReplyDeleteYour string block is beautiful! Do you draw the beginning line on your phone book page before sewing the first strip?
ReplyDeleteSounds like we're having similar weeks! A little bit of this, a little bit of that, plugging away on various projects. Variety is the spice of life :)
ReplyDeleteSo fun to use up those scrap bins! And such a variety you have. I still need to make a string quilt one of these days....
ReplyDeletereally like that log cabin layout layout - courthouse stairs I believe it is called?
ReplyDeleteThe more I see them, the more I like those string blocks! Your tiny courthouse steps block is just perfect, too.
ReplyDeleteI love seeing all your blocks together. I missed the Tiny Tuesday spool block. I must go back and do that one! Now if I can just remember the blogger that had the tutorial. I did see it, but you know! Can't remember S_ _ _!

So many great blocks here, Diann! I’m really loving your TT blocks. And I’m planning to copy you and start a rectangle strings project in the late summer or fall. Thanks, I think! 😂

ReplyDeleteThat String block is likely to inspire a Dreami!!! Love all your blocks :-) even though I am a bit jealous of your neat points.
ReplyDeleteJust love your aqua work! The Tiny Tuesday I wish I'd joined in; yours look so good...might have to try to add it into my schedule! Like Preeti says, a DrEAMi though she's referring to the strings one!
