An RSC Goal for May

Just about a month ago, I finished up the top for my Scrap Jar Stars quilt -

and this week, I decided that it's time to get this one finished up.  The batting and backing have been purchased, cut to size, and are ready to go.

It's snowing here this afternoon, and it's supposed to continue into tomorrow, so I think this weekend will be the perfect time to get the layers basted and the quilting started.  I'm hoping to have this quilt finished by the end of May.  That seems like a reasonable goal!  :)

Also... the monkeys came out this week, and before I could put this little pile of scraps away, they insisted they wanted a polka-dotted friend!

Have a great weekend, quilty friends!

  4. So how will you quilt it? We had a few flakes on Thursday for only a few minutes, thank goodness. Sounds like you might have had accumulation?

  6. Snow? Oh no. Hope it's the kind that melts as fast as it falls. But a good excuse to stay in and snow. We tied a record high of 86° on Thursday and today it's cloudy and in the 50's. The plants just don't know what to do.

    1. So nice to see the Scrap Jar Stars coming to completion. Looks like you have no control over those monkeys, but with all those spots they should be easy to spot.

  12. Hope you were able to get in a lot of stitching time this weekend. Looking at the radar, I was surprised by how much of the storm system was snow. We just got rain, but boy did it rain!

  13. Sorry I entered my comment as a reply to Gayle. Must be needing a break, or else it was the monkeys fooling me.
