I've been having a good time looking at it up close and thinking about how I will quilt it. Digging into my copy of Walk, by Jacquie Gering has given me some ideas!
Meanwhile, the monkeys have not been let out to play all month, and I think they were trying to tell me something!
So I dug through a few scraps and made some red monkeys.
I think they'll be the life of the party!
We're getting toward the end of Red month at the Rainbow Scrap Challenge. Check out tomorrow's link at SoScrappy to see what everyone else has been doing with their red scraps!
I love how it turned out! You know it's all about you enjoying looking at it - that is the key to what we do!
ReplyDeleteLol on the red monkey - so cute.
Love your Scrap Jar Stars flimsy! And those little red monkeys are making me grin! (Just keep an eye on them! They have a tendency to take over your whole sewing area!)
ReplyDeleteThe Scrap Jar Stars turned out beautifully! Hope the monkeys didn't get too rambunctious. The red ones certainly are bright and cheery.
ReplyDeleteThat scrap jar quilt turned out fantastic! I love it! And now I am more energized to do more scrappy stuff at RSC, so maybe I will get a few great quilts by this time next year!
ReplyDeleteThe monkeys are fun! Love the reds!!!
Your scrap jars quilt top is amazing!! Your red monkey blocks are adorable!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilt top and I love the new blocks too! Christine x
ReplyDeleteNow I'm really inspired to keep rolling on the scrap jar stars! It's so pretty. I lover the white box that appears around the 4-patch corners.
ReplyDeleteI love how your borders are a continuation of the sashings in center of the quilt. Monkey business at it's best! The red ones look so different from the one the monkey is hanging onto. Do you have a plan for them or are you like me and just making them cuz you can!
ReplyDeleteWow, you get an A+ on the scrap jar stars quilt!! Awesome! And those little monkey blocks are so cute!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your scrappy star finish and those lovely red monkeys!
ReplyDeleteIt is a gorgeous top Diann. ♥ Congratulations!! Love all the reds you use for the Monkey blocks.
ReplyDeleteOh! Wow! I love your Scrap Jar Star top. It is awesome! Those monkeys are so cute. The one with the little white hearts is soooo cute! Love it. ;^)
ReplyDeleteCongrats on you flimsy. I like the secondary patch that occurs, gives it an extra little something to tie all the blocks together. The red monkey is looking for trouble. He should be happy with all those cute red blocks.
ReplyDeleteYour Scrap Jar Star flimsy looks wonderful! Can't wait to see how you decide to quilt it!
ReplyDeleteThose RED monkeys are GREAT, but that SJS flimsy is FABULOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
