But the joy they bring to the recipient makes it worth the doing. I did a similar project for a niece who used to sleep without outgrown pajamas instead of a special blanky. She got old enough she was worried friends would make fun of her, so we made her a "nap quilt" pieced out of her pjs that were knits.
