Hello August!

It's hard to believe, but here we are at the beginning of August already!  This morning I changed out my little display chest to show the August decorations, which include a lot of sunflowers.   If you've read my blog for awhile, you probably remember I love sunflowers!

Even this week's slow stitching includes versions of sunflowers!  The Gail Pan Summer embroidery has red flowers with gold centers.

There are red sunflowers, and you can even get seeds for them,
but this might be the closest I've ever gotten to growing something like that.

Last week's Hello turned into Hello Autumn, complete with a crow friend and a heart of gold!

That top left corner contains a sunflower which I will work on today for my Slow Sunday Stitching with Kathy's Quilts!

  1. Happy Happy August, Diann. It is always so exciting to see your table dressed for the season. Sunflowers are some of my favorites too. Your Gail Pan stitch is looking marvelous. I love the combination of red and yellow. I have seen the seed packets for red sunflowers. Hmm next year, I might try to plant some. Have a great evening. Hugs.
