We're in that lull between Spring bulbs blooming and being able to plant this year's flowers and vegetables. So nothing much is growing here right now, and I'm dreaming of June in my garden!
Until then, though, I can enjoy stitching on the Summer stitch-along, hosted by Melisa at PinkernPunkin. This week I finished the header and got going on Stamp 1.
Lots more to work on here, so this will be my Slow Sunday Stitching.
Linking up at Kathy's Quilts.

Another fun stitch along with Melissa! I’m still enjoying my spring flowers. We did a bit of garden clean up this week and my husband cut the grass for the first time. We are not frost free until May 24th here so I can’t plant any annuals until then. Enjoy your stitching today! Gail at the cozy quilter
ReplyDeleteIt's too early to plant here as well. Have fun with SAL with Melisa. You are off to a great start!
ReplyDeleteTypically our last freeze is in April, it will warm up quickly in May. How did we get to almost May? You've made good progress on the summer stamp sampler. Happy stitching today.
ReplyDeleteI just love the colors in that flower photo. Hopefully you will get more precipitation so you can enjoy that scene again! Your cross stitch SAL looks great. I've been intending to start mine - I have no excuse except laziness.
ReplyDeleteLove your flowers, so pretty! Nice progress on your summer stitchery.
ReplyDeleteThe trees are really greening up here, love spring but like you long to get flowers and vegies in the garden.
ReplyDeletevery pretty flowers blooming - is this early for you or normal
ReplyDeleteEnjoy that Stitch Along. It is alreadly looking good. Your flowers are pretty. We have been getting very cold weather so I am waiting to buy my plants.
ReplyDeleteMelisa'a patterns are so adorable. I loved how she also turned the header into a little pillow! Your piece is coming right along and soon she'll be sharing more stamps!
ReplyDeleteYour summer cross stitch is looking good. We are having some nice weather here in the south of England at the moment.
ReplyDeleteLast year's garden is so colorful and filled with beautiful blooms. I do wish you a wonderful growing season this year, Diann. Your Summer Stamp Sampler is looking amazing. I hope you enjoy a fabulous day stitching away. Thank you again for joining me on the SAL. Warm Spring hugs.
ReplyDeleteWell....I must say I'm not dreaming of June in my garden. =) But, your June sounds as if it will be lovely. Love that pop of purple and orange of colour in the garden. Another fun cross stitch to enjoy stitching today. Summer.....now that's what I'm dreaming about. =)
ReplyDeleteHi Diann, your SAL (Stitch-Along) from Melisa is turning out beautifully! I love the colors she's chosen, and you know what? I also studied teaching and I love it! Although I unfortunately work in another field, just like you, I love colors, patchwork, knitting, and cross-stitch! Thanks for your visit, and I hope you'll see one of Melisa's projects that I've just uploaded to the blog and let me know what you think, okay? Kisses and see you VERY soon!
ReplyDeleteYour new friend, Dianet
I'm getting anxious to plant some flowers and new shrubs. Our area experts caution to not do anything until after Mother's Day. Your Summer stitch is coming along, Diann.
ReplyDeleteI so suck at gardening but hope springs eternal! How many of Melisa's stitcheries have you made? (That would be a great gallery-type post....just sayin'...)
