I'm skipping the to-do list this week, and doing an update instead because this is happening:
Yes, we're packing our suitcases and heading out to spend a week with these special people, Mike's Navy group, and wives. Here we are by the Vietnam Memorial in Washington, D.C. in 2018, the last time we were able to get together.
A bunch of likes here!
We were supposed to do this trip in 2020, but we all know what happened that year.
Unfortunately, two of the guys have passed away in the meantime, and they will be terribly missed, but it will be wonderful to see the rest who are able to attend. This year we're meeting in Boston, and spending some time on Cape Cod, too!
And some bits of Rainbow Scrap Challenge green
used as leaders and enders, too.
Working on parts of each section has me all set up to keep going once we're back home again next week. See you then!
Joining in with Linda and friends at Texas Quilt Gal for the To-Do Tuesday link-up, and
Not Afraid of Color for "I Like Thursday."
Have fun! And stay well. That part of the country is having an uptick of Covid cases. Has us re-thinking our plans to go there later this summer.

ReplyDeleteSafe travels! So glad that you were able to make this happen this year. It must be an huge undertaking to plan. I've never been to Cape Cod. I'd love to see the boat that I assume are there. Pop Star is coming along. I need to at least cut the pieces. But...you know....life happens sometime.
ReplyDeleteI love trips, hate packing! LOL. Enjoy! I sooo love Boston and enjoy some chowdah for me on Cape Cod! I'm sure you've got it all planned but we really loved visiting John Adams' home, Peacefield, in Quincy which I think is right between Boston and Cape Cod area. Have a great time!
ReplyDeleteI hope you and your husband have a wonderful trip and a lovely reunion . Thank you so much for your husband and your family's service. Pop Star is looking fabulous. Safe travels.

ReplyDeleteHi Diann! Safe travels and have fun. It should be a beautiful time to visit Boston and Cape Cod. I look forward to hearing about the trip and seeing your friends again. {{Hugs}} ~smile~ Roseanne
ReplyDeleteYour Pop Stars look lovely so far. Have a safe and WONDERFUL trip. These experiences connecting with friends and family in real life are so important now that we know what it's like to be cut off and sequestered from those we love for two years. The quilting is always waiting for us when we get home.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the trip - Boston and Cape Cod sound great. Well only guessing because never been there but I'd like to!
