To-Do Tuesday #136

Good morning!   I'm joining in with Linda and friends at Texas Quilt Gal for the To-Do Tuesday link-up, sharing what I've been working on and my new list for this coming week.

It's been one of those weeks where I got to the end of it and can't really remember what I set out to accomplish seven days ago!  Senior moment, lol!  Good thing I can look back at last week's post.

So...on last week's list:

  • Finish the birthday gift/pillow cover for my friend.  Almost done!  Top is quilted, and pieces for the backing are made.  I just need to sew them together and I'll do that this afternoon.

What do I want to accomplish in the coming week?
  • Work on PopStar, part 2.
  • Get started on Rainbow Scrap Challenge blocks for May.  The colors of the month are sage and forest green, which I'm interpreting as anything not bright or lime green.  Here's my fabric pull so far:

That's only two things on the list, but keeping up with Sandra's QAL is important to me, so I'm going to really focus on that these next few days.  I have the whole month to work on the RSC blocks, so I can be more relaxed about that.

Have a great week, friends!

I have not started to pull my green fabrics I have been very slow the past month or two with my projects. I need to get that basket (or two) of greens out and start to sort.

Hope to see your Pop Star pieces next week. I haven’t looked at the greens yet. I found her description of Sage &Forest interesting. I wonder if we'll have a lime green month also.

OMG! I try to stay organized with list to prevent senior moments too but, oh my, it just seems unavoidable every so often. Hahaha! Love that charm pack quilt!

I too am glad I can check back to my blog posts to remember what I set out to do! I need to get out the darker greens too. All in good time! I did a fabric pull for pop star. I’ll get started soon. Love your fabrics!

Focus is always a good thing, I need to start limiting my focus and avoid the squirrels, or carrots! LOL

Pillow cover and charm pack quilt are both really pretty; nice works...
Your RSC greens look like lovely deep colors; will you add some lights to go with them?

Hi Diann! Ooh, that fabric for your friend's pillow is just perfect as the border. How pretty that is going to be when it's finished. Sage or forest for RSC! That's an interesting choice and one of my favorite hues. I look forward to seeing how everyone is interpreting that prompt this month! {{Hugs}} ~smile~ Roseanne

That charm pack quilt looks very interesting. It is definitely a pretty one. The Rainbow Scrap Challenge sounds like something I would like but not this year. I am already in over my head. Good luck this week!

The two photos of your work are just lovely. I am sure your friend will love the pillow when finished. Love the green you are picking out, sage green is a fave of mine.

Cute finish! The Charm Pack quilt is a neat design, and since I'm in charity quilt mode, I'm thinking it would work well as a donated quilt. The grunge made a perfect binding for it! You did pretty embroidery work too!
