Slow Stitching on a Sunday

Awhile back I had traced this design from Gail Pan's Patchwork Loves Embroidery  Too, but hadn't gotten started on it until this week.  Now I have a bicycle!

I'll enjoy stitching in some more of the details on it this week!

I also have the pieces cut and ready to sew for the third block in the Book Club QAL, "Louisa."

Earlier this past week, I made the first two blocks  - Evelyn and Jane.  I've been able to work ahead on the weekly blocks because of the great foundation in hand-piecing that I got from participating in last year's QAL.

And look what came through on my Library Holds!  I'll be able to get to know Evelyn, who the first block is named after!

Screenshot from my Overdrive app - boy, am I thankful for the ability
to download ebooks these days, with our library closed right now!

Linking up with Kathy's Quilts for Slow Sunday Stitching!

Your bicycle is so cute! It is a perfect time to download ebooks from your library. I'm going to start that book as soon as I finish my Anne Hillerman book. I read the first few pages as a sample, and that's what convinced me I would like it.

You will love the Marie Bostwick series!! It is wonderful and real, heartwarming and uplifting. I like her stand alone books as well, just finished her latest publication. They are keepers!

A fun bike! Our library also closed. Fortunately, I have some old paperbacks in my stash. I don't know if it would strain my eyes to read a complete book a tablet. Let us know if you liked A Single Thread.

What a fun bike stitchery. Our library is closed too, but I read all my books on my Kindle app, so that is no problem. I have a whole slew backed up to read. Happy stitching!

I love the bicycle. I can't wait to see the flowers that go in that basket. Your quilt blocks are very pretty. I am enjoying reading borrowed books on my Kindle too. Stay healthy.

That bicycle is pretty cool. The red and white blocks are beautiful. Looks like you had a successful run of hand work last week.
